Relationships With Integrity:  A Unique Approach

Relationships With Integrity  is a unique, whole person, whole life approach to relationship education.  The curriculum begins with a biblical foundation and is backed up with research and data from a wide variety of scientific disciplines making the curriculum comprehensive in its approach.

Relationships With Integrity:  Seven Outcomes

Speaks to the whole person, physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Many sexuality education programs focus on messages primarily aimed at keeping people from physical sexual expression. While we address this issue clearly in the upper grades, we believe that sexuality is much more than just a physical “act”. Relationships With Integrity goes beyond the physical and teaches what it means to “be” male and female appropriately in all areas of a person’s life. The emphasis throughout the curriculum is living with sexual integrity or wholeness.

Creates “hooks” through age appropriate lessons.  Relationships With Integrity lays a foundation for the teen years by introducing elementary students to the truth about who God is. All concepts introduced in the primary grades   (i.e. how we view God, life, family,  friendships and other people) are specifically developed to create hooks for application in later lessons.  The elementary lessons are age appropriate and designed to teach the concepts of life and love while preserving the innocence of early childhood.

Lays the groundwork for a “pro-life” formation in the early years. Being “pro-life” means more than simply being “anti-abortion.” From kindergarten on up, Relationships With Integrity presents a biblical view of life to give kids a picture of truth, and then teaches what it means to be “life-giving” in all areas of our lives. In the upper grades, the curriculum frames the life issue in more powerful, substantial and academic terms building on the foundation from the early years, creating a positive and profound worldview for every student.

Promotes gender clarity. While a relatively small percentage of the population struggles with gender confusion, the issue impacts our culture at large. Relationships With Integrity curriculum is designed to promote gender clarity and reveal the essential and intentional differences between men and women.  In the younger grades, affirmation of gender is intrinsic in every lesson. In the upper grades, learning includes material from a wide variety of social and scientific disciplines.

Reveals the true sacred nature of marriage. With cohabitation on the rise and the fallout from divorce ever more common, even the church struggles at times to depict marriage with all the dignity it deserves.  Relationships With Integrity reveals the profound truth of God’s original intent for marriage, its foundation in healthy societies and its sacred role in developing holiness within the body of Christ. Great care is given to honor marriage, while at the same time respecting all families, regardless of their personal histories.

Plays a role in restoring parental and church authority in the area of sexuality education. Perhaps more than anything else, the agenda of the comprehensive sex education establishment has served to undermine the critical role of parents and the church in the generational transfer of sexual integrity. The curriculum seeks to help restore God’s original, intentional plan for sexuality by giving parents and church leaders the tools and resources they need to be successful.

Presents a comprehensive yet positive approach to dealing with difficult sexual issues. The consequences of sin and the fallout of the sexual revolution have dealt a paralyzing blow to the sexual mores in our culture. In partnership with recognized experts, Relationships With Integrity offers avenues to healing and wholeness for people struggling with pain from abuse, addiction, gender confusion, abortion, promiscuity and other manifestations of sexual brokenness.  While sensitive subjects will be addressed with parents directly in the parent pieces of the curriculum, students will be given avenues to help, healing, forgiveness and to discuss issues with their parents and other trusted adults.
